On March 2, 2020, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) launched a consultation on “Developing An Open Banking Framework For Sri Lanka”. Originally the deadline for submitting comments was April 3, 2020; however, due to measures put in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the CBSL decided to extend it until May 8, 2020.
