California Lawyer Pleads Guilty to Payment Processing For 'Sham Merchants'

Rudy Dekermenjian, a California-based lawyer, pleaded guilty before the U.S. District Court of Columbia, admitting a conspiracy to defraud a bank by processing more than $5m in credit and debit card payments for a student loan debit relief merchant that had previously been terminated by the bank’s risk department, the U.S. Department of Justice has announced.
